This is a baseline out-of-bounds play against man-to-man defense.

Set Up

Player of coach’s choice inbounds the ball. Remaining players are positioned as follows: one on each block and one on each elbow.

How It Works

The player on the ball-side block flashes to the corner. The player on the opposite block turns and sets a backscreen for the player on the ball-side elbow, who runs off the screen to the rim. The screener then finds open space. The player on the opposite elbow drops back as a safety option.

Key Coaching Points

-First option: ball-side elbow running off the backscreen.

-Second option: screener rolling into open space.
