This is a baseline out-of-bounds play against man-to-man defense.
Player of coach’s choice inbounds the ball. Remaining players are positioned as follows: one on each block and one on each elbow.
How It Works
The player on the ball-side block pops out to the corner and receives the inbound pass. The player on the ball-side elbow flashes to the wing and receives the next pass. The player who inbounded the ball walks into the middle of the paint, then comes off a screen from the player he/she inbounded to. The inbound player runs hard off the screen to the ball-side corner for a catch and shoot. The opposite players simply move out to open space.
Key Coaching Points
-When the ball-side elbow player receives the second pass, he/she should look away from the corner to be sure he/she does not telegraph the next pass.
-The opposite players may exchange or screen for each other to keep the defense honest.
