Challenges Before 360Player

When Executive Chairman Bob Turner took the reins four years ago, he recognised a major gap: communication. Effective communication within a sports organisation is the cornerstone to success. Whether it’s ensuring all club representee's get the information they need easily or ensuring fans and members have access to the things they need to know. "Our operations manager had umpteen things to do, and communication needed to be easier," Turner explained. "We needed a tool that could reach everyone, from under-9 players to corporate sponsors."

Despite having strong local support and high respect across New South Wales, Blacktown City FC lacked a modern and scalable way to engage its growing audience, both internally and externally.

The club organised multiple parent education sessions, gathering hundreds at a time to explain the benefits and functionality of 360Player. With hands-on guidance from David Fazio, Mark Crittenden, Matt Heterick, and Steven Fazio, the club successfully shifted everyone onto the new platform. Even Turner, who describes himself as "old school," was quickly won over. “I have not grown up with a phone in my hand, but I understood immediately how 360Player could accelerate Blacktown City's development.” A particularly powerful moment came when Head Coach Mark Crittenden, initially skeptical, embraced the platform wholeheartedly. Now, he not only uses it for internal communications but also shares coaching techniques across all age groups, ensuring a consistent playing style from under-9s to seniors.
